Thankyou for the links - found a great tutorial for a mini top hat. Can't seem to open the link to your blog though, but I will try and goggle it. xx
Good Lady,
I am so happy to see that what you feared has not occurred to your site's loveliness.
As you seemed interested, I have posted a preliminary blog on the hot air airship PASY Edelweiss.
Enjoy,
Freiherr Karl
Dear Nelly,
I have taken your idea for a hot air balloon and expanded it in a different somewhat direction.
I tend to be a bit too conventional to deal with aliens and such; oh I do accept the existence of the dwarfs known to exist in the Alps, but they are stay-at-homes not even prone to traveling to the next mountain let alone across the sea.
What I have come up with is a rigid airship that uses hot air for lifting. The propulsion system is a modified and scaled down marine steam turbine with a boiler heated by æther shift. The heat created by the æther unit is ducted to heat the water in the boiler and the air in the lifting bags. A heat exchanger farther along the system provides climate control in the various areas that are occupied as well as providing hot water for what it may be needed [I must have my morning shave and coffee].
The ship is in one respect a pleasure yacht; that is what it started out to be and was for several years. However, the spirit of adventure over took me in my forties and it has been since fitted out for adventuring; of course all of the amenities for a civilized comfort are there. I don't mind tramping around in the desert or brush country all day, but one must have a hot bath, cup of tea and warm bed at night.
Regards,
Karl
Dear Lady,
Not that I think your idea of an alien intelligence powering a balloon is too far fetched, I do not. However, I have decided to go with an æthereal engined rigid airship-yacht as it leaves me with several options for later adventuring around the globe. For now, I am enjoying the New Mexico Territory. In future my need for travel my take me anywhere.
Karl
