It helps so very much. I was stone cold sober and I started speaking in an Irish accent around a group of girls and had them excuse themselves saying I wasn't "playing fair". If I drink too much I run into the who diminishing returns thing, not fun at all.

I've heard of Gencon (I'm 36, I remember when it was actually in Geneva) but never been. I just don't travel that far to go gaming. And I hate gaming in a convention setting. Cons are where I get to dress up and gladhand.

Well they haven't made the Buffy system for about 6 years now, sad because it was a fun game to play and work on. I haven't played Shadowrun since high school, although I did buy some of the Shadowrun clix they made 6 or 7 years ago, great action figures. I should probably hunt down the second wave they did to complete my collection. I'm currently with a gaming group that has a 4 week rotating game cycle. We are, and have been playing the following: Star Wars Saga Edition (set in the Clone Wars right before Order 66 and thus The Dark Times), D&D 3.5, Starship Troopers, The One Ring (new Middle-Earth set rpg), Serenity, and Scion. As for my Initiative? I have a special talent that allows me to roll a Persuasion/Deception vs Will Save whenever Initiative is rolled. I got a 35 and unless you beat that you cannot attack me for all of combat. Wielding? Just my Charisma and my talents, I don't often carry or use weapons unless jealous husbands/fiancees/boyfriends/girlfriends have found me out and are pursuing me.

Favorite rpg? I'm partial to Star Wars Saga Edition, 7th Sea, and Eden Studios' Buffy/Angel/Army of Darkness rpgs. Mainly because I did a lot of playtesting, writing, and editing, on the Buffy system books.
