Introduction
Hi, we are Cabaret Decadance. Well, actually we're Clare de Lune & Doctor Xenos, representing our merry band of renegade burlesquers. Cabaret Decadance is a fly-by-night song-and-dance revue with pantomime dancers and harmonizing vocalists backed by a band of gypsy stomp heretics. Led by creatrix and raconteur Clare de Lune, the troupe romps through tightly integrated narrative song & dance in a vintage slap-stick style.

Cabaret Decadance roams the land between the Mississippi and Ohio rivers traditionally known as Little Egypt. Against all odds, they have performed sporadically to large and enthusiastic audiences since 1997.

We are here because we are drawn to the ever evolving steampunk aesthetic; and we are pleased that others similarly drawn to steampunk, find what they are looking for in our vaudeville style revue.

Our goal is burlesque in the original sense - parody & satire. Our aesthetic is playfully old-fashioned, but we are neither historical re-enactors nor preservationists. We are aesthetic anachronists. We mine the past for lost beauty and forgotten meanings. We love to sing life back into genres of "obsolete culture" long discarded by the corporate culture industry, and we love pulling society's knickers down for a laugh or two.
