Introduction
Good day to all
I am new to the whole Steampunk world. I find it very interesting. I am looking forward to meeting others and learing more about steampunk. I hope you enjoy a little of my backstory.

Here is a little about me.

My family hails from New Bedford MA the whaling capital of the world, but we lived all over due to my father’s military career. The Wallace’s developed a vast whaling, fishing, and merchant ship empire. My father is the retired Commodore George W. Wallace USN his last assignment was as the Northeastern Squadron Commander. My mother was the daughter of US Navy Vice Air Marshal Washington Irving Chambers. My older brother Lt John J. Wallace entered service with USN and was assigned to the USN 9th Air Service Squadron and was attached to the dirigible USS Los Angeles (ZR-3) and flew the new NF-1 Dragoon. He was a was killed in action while fighting the infamous pirates and a small Russian crew on the dirigible Lu Fang off the coast of Indochina. They intercepted the Russians and pirates after a Japanese Merchant was raided and it crew was killed and shipment of rare metals was being transferred to the Russians surface fleet. The Russian launched their two IRF-2 “Viper 2”. They say my brother crashed his Dragoon into the Russian corvette Durkavicha after he was hit and wounded by the Russian Vipers. This caused the ship to be to damaged and unable move. A combined US, German, British and Japanese surface fleet captured the Russians after a brief fight. But the Lu Fang and crew was able to escape, but not without taking damages and server losses. The Lu Fang’s remote base was overran and is now a combined Japanese and GUU (German, UK, and US) Alliance base.
After I finished college I entered to the US Army to travel out west and in a rebellious move against my father. I was assigned to the 11th Airship Boarding Company USAAC . During my first tour I was assigned to the USAS Bunker Hill. While patrolling near the Trans Mexican Border. We observed a pirate airship attack passenger airship and make off with several passengers as hostages. Our ship’s captain came in high and began to purse the craft. He achieved an elevation about 1000ft above the craft. While they discussed a course of action I suggested that I would lead a small team to secret on to the craft by using the 8 parachutes the crew had for emergency purposes. As the sun set we set off and attempted a feat they said had not been done before. With a lot of luck we were able to land on the craft. Me and my team were able to quickly subdue to the crew and free the hostages with no loss of life for us or the hostages. The pirates though were not so lucky. For this action I was awarded the USAAC Air Service Medal 1st class. Then with a little of my father persuasion I was given my commission and was then sent to meet with a small group of officers to discuss the creation of the SASD (Special Air Services Detachment).

I have also worked with several armament companies to develop new firearms. I have amassed a small fortune by contracting my services to these companies. I have been assigned to work with several allied countries to fight the Pirate Scourge and Imperial Russian aggression from Africa to Asia.

I have recently returned from an expedition from the darkest reaches of Africa and the blistering sands of Ottoman Empire. Searching for lost treasures, civilizations, and seeking to stem the tide of Russian aggression. We were able to successful halt a Russian advance into the Congo. We were able to capture several documents (a journal, several maps, and a large packet of official dispatches). I am certain they were sent to gain allies and to find the lost city of R'lyeh. I am currently on leave from the 1st SASD. I am offering my services to any Sky Captains, expeditions groups, or those just looking to cause headaches for pirates and Imperial Russian forces.

I was stationed at Camp Victory, Baghdad- right next to the airport. This was in 2004. I did a lot of convoys though, so I did get to see more of the country, but never got out near the borders.

Lovely to meet you, Major. I must say, I have some medals (honestly earned) of my own, but I just can't reconcile wearing them next to the gems I create- the colors clash!  I see from your tintype that we have traveled the same vasty sands, although that particular location I am unfamiliar with.  Where is it at?

lovely to meet you Major. I say, that gun you have there looks awfully authentic and likewise the costume. Did it take you long?
