Thanks so much for turning me on to Dr. Steel. I am actually a big fan of Maynard James Keenan - obviously they run in the same musical circles. I would say we're inspired by many of the same sources as Dr. Steel. He's so wickedly funny and his music is infectiously listenable. As to your other question  -- but of course a steampunk opera would be cabaret inspired!
