Continuing with my transformation, I went for a cleaned up darker look. I like it, hoping I get over this hump and meet someone who has a general interest in me =D

Steampunk in Skin ART

Posted on March 19, 2011 at 1:14am 0 Comments

Haven't written in awhile. Sark picked me up a leather bound journal a few weeks ago, so I'm trying to start againl. Here an there slowly putting together my stories and quips. But to the point; I've my third Steampunk Themed piece started a coupla weeks ago, sort of a clock work port hole, it's healing, quite large, and definately taking time. I have to go back for the rest of the color and metal work soon I hope. Sark has the photos on her mechanical monster, so when I've the chance to…

A guest recognized me as steampunk today, I was thrilled, encouraged, inspired. It was phantominal.

Come one, Come all, step up and influence my city

Here's the skinny; I live in a relatively good sized city, where there is little to no SteamPunk presence. Here an there are a few people who are on the verge of discovering their inner SteamPunk, but, as of yet, have not had an outlet. I also work at a relatively decent hotel, I say relatively nicely. The hotel is a little nicer than most in the area, but because of our location it's hard to keep, maybe, five or six rooms occupied for a weekend.

It could be my desire to meet…

How very odd.  Cantankerous contraption! [baps server with a gaff hook, sniffs indignantly]

Hmm, yes, well.... huzzah, indeed! My adventures have been many and varied, as life with a wee one can never quite be called "boring", I assure you.  Little monkey can't seem to keep herself out of the rigging, et al.  Always a challenge, whilst I work on fashioning an honest living on this Æthernet.

And, what of your adventures, in my lengthy absence?  Seems you've been quite occupied, yourself .  ^_^

My best hopes for you with your endeavors of gainful employment! I have taken rather regrettable jobs ( McDonalds ) in the hunt for something more... respectable, shall we say.

I will posit this:

often when you have a job, it is easier to find a job.

I wish you all the very best my friend,

The first matter being :

Are you a man with smart hands and sufficient tools ( or friends ) to be able to pull the bad transmission?

This will save some money. However, go to a junkyard or used parts yard and ask for a transmission out of any ford F150 with a 351W motor. Also, many of the older Crown Victorias and some Mustangs have this automatic transmission- engine combination.

A used but very good transmission should come with at least a 90 day warranty. You should be able ( provided the above conditions ) to complete this in about a weekend and have it back up and running. The said transmission should be had for about 100-250.00 and can give you many years of service.

 I hope this helps.

Excellent choice on the stepside! Far more aesthetic, they are!  Now then, suicide doors would be harder to do than the lambo style doors but BOTH are going to be difficult!

The door opening handles, since they are a pull up lever could be any variety of items, even drawer pulls!

I will get to work on the sifter knob, but I need a photo of the shifter to better detail my path to its design. Depending on the typ of scone used, you could use VHT's red taillight paint or actual red glass. Dont use red bulbs as the they always turn brown in time and jsut do not seem as bright,

Have you begun a drawing of this yet or a build plan?

Yours With all enthusiasm,

 Rt. Rev, Hammer
