Profile Information

Introduction
Primarily a virtual steampunk I spend a great deal of time in Second Life in the sims of New Babbage. My full biographical entry is here.

The typist behind the keyboard also ventures out into the steampunk realms and is very much a history nerd (and currently studying to become a teacher of history).

"Nope, steampunk does not require steam (or punk for that matter but that's another discussion). Steampunk is "Gonzo-historical" Victorian Fantasy. Interpret as you will. Not that Bicentennial Man is anything but science fiction. And…"

Leslie Klinger, noted Holmsian scholar, has filed a civil lawsuit against the Conan Doyle Estate to determine that the characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are in fact in the public domain.Klinger and Laurie R. King, author of the "Mary Russell" series of mysteries that also feature Sherlock Holmes, were co-editing a new book called "In the Company of Sherlock Holmes." This collection of stories by major mystery/sci-fi/fantasy authors inspired by the Holmes tales, is to be published by…See More

Hi! The first Antique & Art Dealers Association of Australia Antique Show in Melbourne for years and years is on May 5 to 8 at the Royal Exhibition Building. I have some free double tickets for the opening gala night 6.p.m. to 9. May 5th for anyone who might come dressed up, in any era, and swan about with a glass of champagne. I am exhibiting. You can collect tickets at my shop in Clifton Hill or I can post them. (Google Roy’s Antiques)

Regards, Roy: a really, truly antiquaire, as you can see.

I was thinking of suggesting a meet up in Ballarat at the goldrush theme park , Sovereign Park , sometime later in the year .
