Hail, Gadgeteer Dragos Lamont!

Profile Information

Introduction
Hail and well met all. Gadgeteer Dragos here. First and foremost I should mention that my world is full of wacky designs, destruction, mayhem, gadgetry and geekery. I welcome all who love this. Below is a bit more about me in the text box as well.

If you wish to know anything about me or would like me to design you something, please feel free to ask!

My work will be up sooner or later for all to purview, judge and whatnot. Sooner than later I do hope.

Clockwork Fox Productions and my Gadgeteering

So as my persona suggests, I am a Gadgeteer. My specialty surrounds the skills involved in making the gadgets which we all wish we could have. As a current engineering science student, I spend my time designing and crafting miscellaneous items.

With this persona comes Clockwork Fox Productions. The fox, a crafty opponent, makes for the clever wit and thought that goes into the gadgets made. This logo is something that embraces craft, design and complexity.

There are two major projects I would like to be working on. Right now, though my main focus is getting a full portfolio of projects done. Be they small, big, or in-between, these projects are something I would like to keep to the functionality of what I do.

My primary show of current ability is my Mono-goggle. The pictures in the photo album showed the many steps I took towards a final product. The goal had been to piece together a mono-goggle that was both functional and appeared like the adjustments of shop uses had evolved it into the workshop gritty piece it has become.

My Gadgeteer's Kilt is something of a design hashed out between AltKilt.com and myself. They had their pattern, and my wants. With a base design hashed out between the two of us, the custom work had come to life.

Seeing designs like these come to life is something of a dream for me. It is something I pursue with tenacity, persistence, and work.

Right now, the Main Goal is to get a portfolio that isn't just modifications and design work. I want the full functionality of these pieces of art to be realized and shared with the Steampunk community. With function, our dreams come to life. This is the gift I want to bring to the steampunk world more than just art. This is what I want Clockwork Fox Productions to embrace and continue on doing.

Right now I hope this is something people find support in.

Things Needed and Wanted. A rant for it!

So I've to lay a few things out far as goals for gadgets and costume stuff. Anyone reading this is open and welcome to provide suggestions, theories, and advice. Some of the things I may need to purchase, so feel free to peruse the list. Hey it may be a Yule/Christmas list if things get working right lol. Hopefully these things come into my life soon or easier access or pay for em. Truely this is to mark epic progress, because I know exactly what i need, and need to make.

Mindscape of the Gadgeteer

Posted on January 14, 2010 at 1:22am 6 Comments

Why can't you see? If what you need are wings, I'll build them. If what you need is speed, I'll fashion a jetpack. If what you need is protection, just look at my dented armor. If what you need is war, then stare down the barrel of my gun. The future is mine to build. Tell me, can you see? Or do I need to build you eyes as well?

In my world, nothing cannot be created. Everything is at the reach of the mindscape. The plane of Aether brings to life the things in which I can only build.… Continue

Though brand new to the SP Empire and a few of its groups -- the gravitational attaction that pulled me into orbit was the Gadgeteering aspect of SP. My early stage project is for a wearable SP forearm gaunlet along the lines of an Iron Man forearm/Star Trek Borg forearm but as a magazine-fed diamond-tipped rock bolt driver for a Dark Side of the Moon SP adventure. Honestly -- just getting started though. Am into all kinds and dimensions of Planetary Gearetry.

I'd love to say that I can attend CLOCKWORK, but I'm afraid I have another engagement. Do have a fantastic time though! It sounds like so much fun!

As for the meet and greet, it sounds like a great idea. I wonder how many people would be able to attend, or how many are even around. It would be so exciting to meet up with some fellow steampunks.
