OctopodiCon is a steampunk convention in Oklahoma City, OCtober 5-7, 2012. Consider it a steampunk "Hogwarts", where people can enroll in make-n-take classes, attend lectures and demos, and participate in discussion panels. Steampunk is about the same time period, but with SF/fantasy elements - gears and goggles and Wild, Wild West sort of steam contraptions (wasn't that giant steam spider just awesome?) and things.
