Twenty years of miraculous change

Posted on July 3, 2012 at 7:07am 0 Comments

Dearest Readers,

I must say that the trials and tribulations of day to day life and the reliance I have on technology set me to thinking. Thinking about when I was in high school twenty odd years ago. Was life truly simpler in a day and age of no immediate connectivity? The reasoning behind this train of thought was simple. I am a steampunk. We go through life in this genre thinking of the Victorian age as a golden era of craftsmanship and technological wonderment. Reflecting upon…

Broken Silences - Continuing the Adventure

Posted on June 24, 2012 at 12:36pm 0 Comments

Dearest Ladies, Gentlemen, and friends of steampunk everywhere,

I cannot thank you all enough for your diligence and love for our favorite genre. I have been working steadily on bringing about the next in my series of steampunk inspired illustrated novels. The trilogy of these books starting with Broken Silences started as a simple comment made by a student of mine concerning one of my sketches.

With that same spark, I'm hoping you can help me in the…

Seampunk - Art form

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 5:45pm 0 Comments

Writer S.J. Chambers said (I’m paraphrasing) that steampunk should be considered an art form in a literary panel we were on together at the first Florida Steampunk Exhibition in Daytona Beach, FL. • a person who practices any of the…

(I should clarify that the incorrect address was posted on the SouthCoast New England Steampunk page)

Good  Evening Mr LeClair, I did a drive by to find Stage Right Studio and could not locate it (Mr Bear does not live that far away).

Google advises that the address is 68 South Main Street not North Main Street, and so I shall try again this evening. However if you have sent messages to a lot of potential visitors with the incorrect address you have a dilemma on your hands. Perhaps a new mailing would be in order.

I do indeed hope to be there on the evening of the 6th and wish you great success in this venture.
