- Introduction
- Miss Jessamine Dillavou was raised on a pirate airship by her father and uncle. Because of so she now lives her life down the straight and shady. She's a mercenary and lady thief with a soft spot for explosives and cats. Miss Dillavou has four felines: Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Carbon. They hate to fly almost as much as their owner. She likes to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground and only flies when she MUST. Usually Miss Dillavou has a bottle of rum in her hand when she does. Other than odds and ends jobs, Miss Dillavous lives her life by the highest bidder for her sought after services. Recently she has secured a dimension jumper, but can only use it a limited few times per day.

Sugarland has been one of my favorite bands for such a long time. I was sent this link earlier this morning (checks the clock...is that even possible?) and it's Sugarland talking about their stage for their new album Incredible Machine (hitting stands October 19, 2010). Even previews for the album is steampunked themed. I'm soo giddy!

My finished rifle.

This is the first steampunk project that I took on. It's a toy rifle that was bought for $9. It was sanded, primed, painted black, base painted with brass, copper, and mixed color of maroon and copper. The rifle was then washed with a black paint mixed with a little water. After the wash, the rifle color was too dark for my liking. I went back and actually finger painted colors back into it while wearing vinyl gloves.
