My introduction to Steampunk was unique so far as I can tell. I read Neal Stephenson's "The Diamond Age" and fell in love with the Neo-Victorians depicted there in. Subsequent searches for Neo-Victorian brought up the lovely concept of Steampunk with which I have grown only more enamored as the time passes.
I worry though about the practical application of Steampunk or Neo-Victorianism to a lifestyle. It seems so much more substantial than purely an aesthetic interest, but I don't see much evidence to support that wish. If you have any advice or thoughts, please help me.

Family and friends are two major factors for moving to the area. Also, my bandmate lives in nyc, so, this way I will be much closer to him and make playing more shows possible!
The clockworks dolls are friends of mine, as well as a great band. Also friends and mighty fine musicians are Petal Blight.
Hopefully you can make it out to the teavolve show on the 4th of september.
