Built this from other, older lamp parts and things found in antique shops. The old (guessing 40's-50's?) voltmeter still works and is wired with the lamp so it shows voltage when the lamp is turned…Continue

Our next meeting will be Feb 25 from 7-9 pm at Smokey Row coffee shop in Des Moines. We will do introductions and those who wish to show SteamPunk items of theirs or have information to share can do so.
Boneshaker by Cherie Priest is the book for discussion.
An introduction to Roleplaying Steampunk will be presented by Gary Lange.
Costumes are optional but welcomed!
Smokey Row is at 1910 Cottage Grove in Des Moines. Take I235 to the MLK exit. Go south. Turn left at first stoplight (1 block). Go one block and it is on the corner to the south.

Dr. Vincent Alloicious said… I hadn't even noticed while looking at your lamp post that you were a fellow Iowan. I would appreciate it if you would have a glance at my group for Iowa steampunks on this site. Named very simply: Steampunks of Iowa. It is still under construction but I would like to see more Iowans come out of the woodwork.
