I saw "Oz: The Great and Powerful" last night and I couldn't be more pleased. It is a much better and enlightened interpretation of L. Frank Baum's literary world than 1939's "The Wizard of Oz." The title sequence resembles a dime-operated paper puppet show. The film opens in black-and-white and is set in 1905.
