Profile Information

Introduction: Greetings to all! I am Sky Marshal Jonathan Baines "Jonny B." Goode, the "Gentleman Soldier", the "Singing Sky Marshal". But please, call me Jonny B. (unless you're in the chain of command, then it's Marshal Goode, of course). I am leader of Dr. Steel's majestic air navy, the Air Corps Elite for Steel (ACES), and commander of my "private yacht", the SS Runcible. (Formerly stationed aboard the Air Frigate "DethStryke", before it was scuttled in that regrettable steam-cannon incident... it was not my fault! It was a glitch, a technical malfunction!) I am known to most as a lovable eccentric, and a man of many contradictions. I am more a chap than a punk, preferring a more refined and aristocratic lifestyle and a taste in fineries. Yet I am also often looked upon askance by proper society for my eccentricity, and I do have a bit of a rebellious streak, having been known to go my own way and ignore established societal rules and norms when it suited me. ("They're more what you'd call 'guidelines'...") When I'm not executing my official duties as Sky Marshal, one can also find me tinkering with one of those fancy ~~Babbage~~ Gates Engines, of which I've become quite the expert at, especially with the newfangled telegraphy they're calling the "intertubes"...

In the mundane world I am a website developer, blues and swing musician, master of the harmonica, and karaoke whore. I'm more of a dieselpunk or swingpunk than anything else; a lover of noir, pulp comics (favorite superheros being Batman and The Tick), swing and blues music, big cities, big cars, and 30's-40's fashion. I'm also an Elwood Blues impersonator. I'm rarely seen without my trademark fedora and occasionally step out in a zoot suit. (And yes, I'm still eccentric. Although these days they call it Aspergers...) I am very much an Absentminded Professor - I'm brilliant but I'm attention deficit and have almost no short term memory - and I'm dangerous in a kitchen, and not in a good way. I am also a Nipponophile (not an Otaku), martial artist (Tae Kwon Do, swordplay), and also enjoy a good Renaissance Faire (where you'll usually find me dressed as a samurai).
