Profile Information

Introduction
My husband and I were introduced to Steampunk in the summer of 2009 on a cruise with Prof. Fulbright T. Moone. Since then, I have embraced the Steampunk lifestyle, incorporating it into my daily teaching attire, musical choices for performance, literary tastes, and film viewing choices. My Indiana, Pennsylvania Steampunk friends and I are in the process of developing a group for the purposes of furthering the genre in our area, including sponsoring readings, teas, strolls, and art gallery gatherings. More info wil be forthcoming.

Many years ago, I created the first steampunk community forum for western Pennsylvania here at the Steampunk Empire. Time and tide seem to be conspiring to have me resurrect that. So I am sending out this invitation to all those in the area to join the Allegheny Steam Concordance and/or on Facebook so that we can build a genuine steampunk community in the region.

We will be sure to have the pins with us this weekend. I'm a better person to ask than the Captain, as we don't want to distract from piratical stuff.

Fun to see you guys this weekend -- sorry it was so brief! I almost hate opening weekend; so many people to say hello to and none of them for more than three minutes!

Yes...that picture is from the Steampunk murder mystery that the Pyrates presented on the Norwegian Majesty this summer. It was my first experience with Steampunk, but I have run with it since then. I do have more pix...of the Pyrates, of course. Would you like to see them?

Yes, I am on Steampunk Fashion, tho I have not posted very much. I sometimes get tired of all the reading and trying to catch up to date. I have pulled both of my sisters into Steampunk because that's what sisters are for. They are Baroness Alemap Hornsby and Dutchess Amelia Gifford. I do hope we will be able to meet in the near future.

Awesome! Definitely let me know!

Oh! I'm working to start a Steampunk Hip-Hop group with a few friends. So far I've got two violinists, a pianist, a drummer, and me. I'm gonna work on getting an accordion once I get a job. :P
