As unphotogenic as I am, still I am out there representing. Today for the Port Townsend Leader. We, The Brass Screw Confederacy, are gearing up for our 3 day festival in beautiful Port Townsend. Introduction: Greetings to all citizens of the Empire I am Milicent Kohl, nee Mala Madgekowich-Bearce. I am an adventurer, a traveler, a spy and sometimes a thief. I am not an inventor, but I am a fixer and a tinkerer, skills which I use to coax my way onto airships and undersea planes and into robot factories. Ah, what a life I have!

Pancakes. Griddlecakes with actual corn in them. Eggy, thin griddlecakes with corn. Sweet and savory and buttery and crunchy. Maple syrup and corn griddlecakes. Yessss. Guess I woke up hungry.

Turkey

One of the ladies who comes over to milk my goats backed over one of two turkeys I have roaming about with her infernal transport machine. Contrite over the mishap, she took the bird home and dressed it out right fine. Now I feel I should write her a thank you note for the fresh turkey for dinner and for moving me a step toward being a real farmer.
