The airship docks were crowded today.
That was a common occurrence, truthfully, but as Amalia stared up into the hordes of dusty, wind-worn passengers that ejected themselves from the various flying crates, she couldn't help but feel crowded. Many years ago, a young girl was born.
Her named was Kateryn Stewart. Her mother died shortly after her birth, leaving her to be raised by her father, who had lost six other children before her. Because of this, as she was growing up, he was overindulgent. From a very young age she was allowed to accompany him on his travels to nearby cities, to study and read the same things that he went over.
