- I am a Photographer and Musician. My first experience with Steampunk was at Teslacon II where my band Dublin O'Shea was a guest. After the event I found myself looking for more. I have just begun my journey into this unique subculture and I'm eager to experience, learn and in some cases teach.
Devlin MacBain Captain of the “Ospery Grey” born in Inverness Scotland and descendant of Scottish Kings. As a result of a wayward childhood MacBain was labeled the veritable black sheep of his family. After narrowly escaping the hangman’s noose by virtue of his family’s high standing and service, he was dismissed from his father’s household and became a Spice Trader ( Among other Pursuits ). It is a widely held theory that the Ospery Grey carries much more interesting cargo than the the spices in plain view, however no such evidence has ever been found. Always looking for ways to supplement his spice profits the Captain is more than willing to take on more dangerous pursuits, including functioning as hired guns for larger expeditions. Being very aware of his noble ancestry MacBain strives to be a Gentleman, yet finds himself somewhat ill at ease in the company of socialites. The Captain likes his Music and drink, and the Ospery’s crew is expected to join in song regardless of talent or timing. Although kind and welcoming, beware not to cross him, The Captain has a favorite axiom ” An Englishman never forgets, but a Scotsman never forgives”. Many have preferred a quick exit from this world than to be hunted by the Ospery Grey and her crew. Being an outcast from his biological kin MacBain has become patriarch to his own adopted family, fiercely loyal to his crew he has been known to put himself into bodily harm in their defense. Still MacBain is somewhat of a puzzle, while some subjects like “Piracy” he views with shades of grey, there are others which are most definitely black and white and it’s safer for all that you land on the right side of that line. In addition he can have bouts of harrowing paranoia. In most cases the crew can calm him down before any lasting damage has been done. In an attempt to avoid giving allegiance to any one country Devlin Macbain is a founder of AIRRAT ~ Allied International Random Acts of Trade ~ an entity all it’s own consisting of multiple Ships, Merchants, and Privateers.

I have been working on my latest creation, that being a plasma weapon. In my travels I picked up a couple old clocks and have already taken one apart and guess what I found; a music box inside-interesting.I suppose I will wait on using the gears from this old clock for use in my weapon, got any good links for purchasing gears. What a nice surprise to see your birthday greeting to me!!! It was especially sweet of you for I was having a tough day..not necessarily a bad day just busy is all and a bit tired. I do have a nine to five but I am also a maid. I have my own clients and do not work for a cleaning company and I do this on my days off my nine -five.lol. Also I want to thank you for the info you have passed on to me. I plan to sit with a notebook and take notes when I listen to the podcast. I only have 1 house to clean tomorrow and this will leave me some free time. Again I am so thankful for your help! You are AWESOME! =)
