I gave a friend a marketing pep talk the other day. It made em realize, I too have become somewhat stagnant. I don't currently have any shows to produce. I don't have any solidified tour/travel plans. I should market myself more.
Any ideas on how to market yourself to a very small niche fanbase? I'm all ears.

Make them do tailoring and rhinestoneing; besides driving the former SWMBO I did such and picked up significant chump change from the other girls...they were always looking for flash, better tailoring, breakaways, G-strings and other accessories.
I learned to stay away from major pieces, too much work involved in the short times available per traveling/site.
Fitting G-strings wasn't all THAT bad...
Perhaps take a look at other burlesque venues; there's a fairly active group in Boston, and there must be more around some places.
My ex was a featured stripper, and she had pretty good shows in widely separated towns.
I'd take a security escort or travel in a group, but have you considered a traveling show?
