Ok, so my wee kid brother of 10 (We shall call him Kid 10 for anonymity purposes) has commissioned me (sorta) to make him a Steampunk Spider-man outfit. The basic idea is that it will be comprised of…Continue

Francola Bertoni

Francola Bertoni image.

The Italian man bickered away. With his arms waving, and gabbering, the English man barely got a word in edgeways.

"FRANCOLA BERTONI, PRAY, PAUSE ONE MOMENT!" screamed the English…

How does one make everything able?

Posted on June 24, 2011 at 3:08pm 1 Comment

As I'm sure you're aware of, the word "disabled" means having a condition that stops a person from joining in on everyday activities. The issue with being disabled is that people who are disabled would be able to not be so if it weren't for society's inability to cater for everyone's needs.

Lets go back to a much older time, like, really far back when people were really short and labeled any kind of mental condition as a local idiot or slammed them into an insane asylum. As…

How to Gain a Rival.

Well, I once mentioned my little idea about the MoR (Ministry of Revolution) and my wants to become a more notable figure (who doesn't?). These little ideas (which are actually rather big) will be something to work on in the apparent "hiatus" of the illustrious and illusive Doctor Phineas Waldolf Steel. He has been away for a while, the last ever heard from him (as far as I am aware) was his message to his Toy Soldiers declaring his gathering of funds and working on a brand spanking new…

Ignorant people make me grumpy.
Close-minded people make me cross.
If the world needs such stupidity,
I guess I'm at a loss

Profile Information

Introduction
Hullo my beauties, my name is Lady Bess Eccentric.

I do many things, to which I like to summarise in the term: Imagineer. And no, not the Disney kind, but a more general out look. Someone who uses their imagination in whatever it is that they wish to do.

As to 'who' I am. Well, I was originally from the 19th century, but a time traveller. To cut a long story short, I became stuck in the 21st century due to chronodysmorphasia, which is essentially "time travel sickness" a bit like getting travel sick from a car or train or the sorts.
Even while time travelling, I was and am a merchant of odds and ends, and do work on commission, any old job, mainly acquiring things that a person wants. Normally I make them myself, but there are the few things I cannot make and will have to go out of my way to "obtain" such items.

And no. I am not a pirate. I am a perfectly "legal" merchant.

I must confess that I have spent the morning touring your gallery when I should in fact have been working. I very much enjoy your little cartoons, they put me in mind of The Far Side, if Gary Larson worked for Studio Ghibli.

Lovely profile my Lady Bess, I would have felt in error if I had gone by without mentioning it. Do hope your day and travels are pleasant. Cheers.

Dear Lady Bess,

Indubitably, I thought it would be polite to extend my friendship since we inhabit the same county.

I hope you are well? I must say, your photographs are lovely. you have some fantastic costumes and ensembles.

I am just getting mine together, but I do love the steampunk look so very much. I am just about to adventure to strange new lands. I am prepping my dirigible this week, as next week I journey to New Zealand for a month to do some treasure-seeking and to meet some of the natives. I am hoping it will be a land of delight and intrigue...

Kind Regards,

Camelia C.

Hope you are well. Haven't had the pleasure of running into you here in the Empire lately. The fight to keep Fracking and new natural gas pipelines out of New York State has kept me all too busy of late.

Hoping the causes you stand up for are going in your favor,

Maximillian Drake
