Introduction
Hello, I'm happy to find you all. I am a freelance photographer and artist and a graduate of the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.
Originally from the New Orleans area, I now reside in the Grand Rapids area of Michigan.
Apparently I was a Steampunk without even knowing it, being a huge fan of the writers Edgar Rice Burroughs, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, HG Wells and Jules Verne and having a love for all types of gadgets.
I feel like I've come home!

PULLING TOGETHER A POTENTIAL OUTFIT

Posted on April 25, 2010 at 5:45pm 4 Comments

Well I decided the first thing to do was to go through my existing wardrobe to see what I could pull together. And below is what I put together for a casual outfit til I can get a nicer one made.

I thought I might wear a cameo at my throat, a little fancy magnifying glass on a delicate chain, and a pocket watch.

I'm open to suggestion.

thanks to anyone who…

HAPPY TO MEET EVERYONE

I am happy to meet everyone and look forward to seeing everyone's photos and messages. One thing I know about you all is that you are extremely talented and creative. I hope to learn a lot while I am here.

My initial question is this: are there any Steamers on the southwest side of Michigan. I am in the Grand Rapids area and am looking for a crew to join or people I can occationally meet up with.

I am originally from the New Orleans area, graduated from Chicago…

Are you going to the World Steam Expo in Dearborn next month?
I'll be there!

Lady Alexander-

If you wish to have an event or get-together over the late spring or summer, please by all means invite me. When I'm not at school here in Ypsilanti from September to April, I live in Grand Ledge, which is a little less than an hour away.

Awww, thank you m'Lady.
I might be organizing a meetup for the Summer over here in blazing hot Vegas!
So goodluck to you as well, on yours!

1. Have a meet-up! Find a pub, a museum, a park, or a graveyard that's got the right feel and plan a picnic, meetup, tea, or croquet game. Marshall could be neat, as could various spots around Grand Rapids or K-zoo.
2. Get the word out, not only online but in your community.
3. Be present in the community and always be patient and polite with non-steamers: you win 'em over fast.
4. There are probably steampunks on your side of the state, they just haven't come out of the woodwork. Take the first step and I'm sure you'll get some folks.

Welcome to the Empire Lady Paulle` Jung Alexander!

I must say I love your taste in literature and your choice of friends~

Steampunks are without a doubt some of the most colorful and creative people I have ever encountered; I’ve found them an absolute joy to interact with and I hope you have a similar experience here.

Thank you for your friendship and do feel free to visit with me anytime!
