Revamped Character Development Thread

Hello Everyone, Welcome to the reboot of the League of Airship Captains. Please remake your characters so there is a definite description and backstory, allowing for a new start of the RP. I am hoping to make the story evantually into a Radio Drama sort off thing, with each in-game character voiced by their player. Please follow the format below to create your character. I will be filling this out. Name: John T. MalcolmAge:21Birth place: Sydney, Australia; Perth Prison SettlementCurrent Home…See More

Good evening, Captain.  I apologize for not responding earlier.  If you are looking for ships, mine is the Jenny Lind, a sail-driven cargo airship, currently on an expedition from Boston, Massachusetts to a location estimated to be deep in the Simpson Desert in Australia, under charter by Dr Mikhail Pyotr Jones of Boston Tech (also known as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology).  Please see the discussion under Air Piracy and airship operations for a description of how the Jenny Lind works; I believe it would actually work, if there were any reason to try it.

Hello! Unfortunatly I'm not too great at writing. I'm an artist mostly and words aren't really my strong point. If you need anything drawn up or painted or something like that I'd be happy to do so!

Yes, perhaps?

I'm a bit confused ... I don't know how to do anything except write, and in retrospect Franklin doesn't seem appropriate to your project.

FYI, it's an idea I'm working on myself: the biggest mystery / search and rescue attempt in Victorian imperial history. In May 1845 (in reality) Sir John Franklin sailed off with 128 sailors in 2 state-of-the-art ice-cutting wooden ships converted into steamships to discover the Northwest Passage, and disappeared somewhere around Beechey Island King William Island in what is now Canada's Northwest Territories. From 1847-74, the British Admiralty and his widow sent off 40 expeditions to find him. My story involves a rescue attempt with an airship, so the air crew must race against the conventional crews to solve the mystery (and end the days of wooden ships and lateral vision of the earth.)

Will read up on your project.

The storyline has been structured in a basic form,we have all of the events in the right order and have just about finished character bios. Cicely art has been produced and we will soon go into building 3G figurines to scan into the computer.

The combat in the gameIs spontanious and unstaged, it would not fit in with the rest of the gameplay.

Some kind of clockwork carriage is used by the upper classes andcan be driven.
Zeppelins will be in the game but there isn't much interaction with them to make the gamemap seem bigger

We've figured out most of the locations so I'll have to get back to you on the specifics. The main city is called Abarkristika. It surrounds a smaller religious Vatican style city called Abarspyrika ( literally translated meaning spyrika (god) city or city of the spire, the spire being this giant triangular skyscraper which is the object of the main religion's worship. The followers of this religion are the bourgousiea, officials and rulers of a quasi- facsist/religios empire closely modeled on the british empire and the east India company(who acted like the navy and army in the foreign and uncivilised parts of Asia) they occupy colonies and governments in the other nations of the game's world. The player will play as a unit of hybrids occupying a tactical unit in the revolutionary army(called the haven). They are hybrids, torture victims who have had their bodies repaired and enhanced by various awesome prosthetic limbs and hidden gadgetry. The main team of developers (me and the lads) will take care of all of the main aspects of the game, but before we can go into developing the actual game we need to have concept art and ideas on what the normal people of the world would get up to, wear, eat , play, shoot, shop at,etc, all of the elements that would be incorporated in a steampunk town or city, bearing in mind that these people have grown up with different religions and mentalities( alot of the mood of the people is typically right-wing of the early working classes.
