None of the passengers spoke to each other. They barely made eye contact. When they did they looked guilty, as if they were…See More

From Here To Timbuktu - A 'Steamfunk' Adventure

Posted on October 1, 2012 at 6:14am 1 Comment

The Malian airship gliding over Terminus was a grand colorful sight, especially for a dreary, damp winter day. Its red and green striped body, dangling tassels and swirling Arabic lettering hinted at exotic intentions for the drab dressed Freedonians staring upward at its arrival. Unrequited - An alternate history/steampunk story

A tidbit of a work-in-progress...

Freetown Harbor, formerly known as Charleston Harbor, shimmered under the spring time sun. Bountiful azaleas added their colorful brilliance to the elegant homes edging the harbor’s rim. On a certain dock a crowd of people gathered, a collection of well to do men and women waiting anxiously to witness a special moment in history, a dignified crowd of top hats and parasols murmuring with gossip. A platform filled with politicians and… Continue

Just received my hard copy of Steamfunk edited by Milton Davis and Balogun Ojetade. Once I am finished reading the last novel in Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series I will proceed, tout suite, with my new addition to my steampunk library. So excited!

Hello Mr. Davis!  My name is Kimberly Smith and I have only recently begun my inquisitive journey into the world of Steampunk.  I also plan to compose a few Steampunk-based novels of my own.  I hope to see you at Dragon*Con this week and get a hold of your what seems to be exciting Steamfunk works.  Take care.

Thankyou for the gears, Sir Milton <3 They are just what my Balloon has been in need of. I shouldn't procrastinate in seeing to its engine closet a moment longer.

When you have a moment I hope you'll peek into the Moorwing archive ship *_^ You're listed on my page in the Steam archives up top (will be transferring that to the archive when it's fuller), and you can share finds and information on your Steam and other speculative releases in the Moorwing, if so inclined.
We'll assign a tea clerk to you and prepare a cabin straightaway!

Shine on
