My long awaited hat has finally arrived! I am afraid I was so excited when the post man handed me my parcel I may have behaved in a most unlady-like fashion.
Jerry, I am sorry for jumping the counter and embracing you so tightly.

Well, as promise my husband did bring me on an outing for a new hat (to replace the one ruined by exorcise smoke issued by the tea kettle.....it's a rather long story). Sadly my head proved to be a bit too small for the hats we found today, but one has been sent for! I shall now take up residence outside the post office, clawing at the door as I wait impatiently for my new cranial covering.

Indeed Ma'am. It appears to be a very fine hat and I can understand your excitement. I suppose the only reason I haven't done likewise is that I usually purchase my hats in person. That and I rather doubt that my knees are up to counter jumping much any more.*S*
Sheesh! And here I thought I got excited over getting a new hat! I can honestly say I've never jumped the counter at the post office.*LOL*

Seamus MacCumhaill said… I've done my share of worrying over them, as well. Of course, at the time, I was primarily concerned with the loss of my facial hair. It has thankfully grown back (with that odd lighter patch, however), but the smell at the time was more than dreadful...
Seamus MacCumhaill said… I'm glad that you're happy. My jealousy may be put to positive use, as well; I think I may finally have the drive to dust off and repair those old spectacles that were partially melted in that incident with the djinn.
Seamus MacCumhaill said… *raises an eyebrow* I'd appreciate it if you watched your tone, dear. On an unrelated note, your new goggles came out quite well. I'm a tad envious, really.
Seamus MacCumhaill said… When you take that tone, it feels like I already am.
Seamus MacCumhaill said… Oh, dear, I'm sorry. It was "Little Women," wasn't it? I always get those two confused!
