So, I attended my first event today. It was Twisted Gears over at UH. I went with some buddies and we definately had a good time. I must say tho that what I was most impressed by was the warm welcome we received. I've been involved in some other costuming stuff and I have to say that so far, in my limited experience, the Steampunk community has by far been the friendliest and most welcoming of new people. - Hey there everyone. I'm pretty new to the whole steampunk thing, but I have admired it from afar for a while now. Some friends and I actually have an interest in coming up with costumes and personas that are a mix of steampunk and wild/weird west. Looking forward to being part of the group.
