Okay, just wondering how much controversy this is going to raise, but thought it would be interesteing to throw it out there. Inside a nuclear reactor, the primary loop carries radioactive water to…Continue

"I agree with CoastConFan - model glue tends to fuse the plastic via a solvent-welding process.  Take care if you use a rotary tool - use a saw blade vs. an abrasive cutting wheel (abrasives heat the plastic and can cause toxic fumes). Since you…"

"Acetone might remove the glue, but I suspect that it will eat up the plastic as well.  The type of glue I am familiar in my youth dissolved plastic slightly and then hardened, so it is not on the surface. My suggestion is removing the weights…"

I would like to use the carrier as a basis for a DIY R/C Airship, but need to safely remove the weights out of the bottom portion. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts on this?See More

Profile Information

Introduction
Well, Captain Morgo was here, but his ship was purchased by Prof. Phineas Boggs, I served in the American Empire Aeronautical Corps for several years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant, before I found my true calling as an itinerant scholar, historian, part-time archeologist and scientist.
I travel the world in my personal airship Aurora, allowing the crew to dabble in their smuggling as long as it doesn't interfere with my travels. And indeed, I am not above "appropriating" archeological and historical items that might come across my travels, for museums or "curators" that can come up with the right price.
