History has been my hobby since i was young, and i have done WW2 and Civil War re-enacting for many years, so i guess it's on to the Victorian era (sort of!) I went back to college to major in History and "maybe" someday i can teach. Heck, on my final exam in my Civil War class last semester, i walked in with my full Union uniform on! Gotta love it! Well, since the hat/goggles, i have gotten a great converted Steampunk Maverick from a great guy at Johnson Arms, and a wonderful specially made holster from a friend who is a master leathersmith at Witchworks/Steampunked out. It's starting to take shape, i guess you just need a starting point and some imagination. Good luck to you as well with your personna!

I am pretty new to the genre myself....i was looking for an outfit with a historical background to it. My daughter cosplays and we both have been going to AnimeBoston for several years together, and it was about time dad got into the fun! Lets face it, most anime based characters are highschool age, and at 50, i don'nt exactly fit the bill! Steampunk caught my attention at the con this year, and with the purchase of a nifty hat and goggles, i was off and running. Amazing what the internet and a credit card can do for you. I am slowly getting an Airship personna together and hopefully have what i need by April of next year. there is a steampunk con here in mass. in Sept., so i'll probably pop in for one day in plain clothes to check it out.
