Steampunk Interview: Baron Von Maul

Hi guys! My latest interview is available. I had a Q&A session with Baron Von Maul, aka Shaylor Duranleau. He's a cosplayer and member of the Star Wars Steampunk Universe. I'm getting more acquainted with the SWSU members and they're a very pleasant group of people. Shaylor combines steampunk elements with Darth Maul. I learned a lot of information from his interview. Click on the link to read all about it.…See More

"That's good to know, David. By the way, did anyone watch the Academy Awards? It was kind of weird. They messed up the Best Picture category at the end. I also failed to see any consistency throughout the awards. There was a smattering of films…"

Long Beach Comic Expo 2017

Good evening! I had a blast at the Comic Expo in Long Beach. We might have several active cosplayers here on the Empire who would appreciate this type of event. I took a lot of pictures. Some of the costumes and vendors had steampunk influences. I spent some time with the Star Wars Steampunk Universe and listened to their panel. It was very cool. You can check it out here.…See More

Steampunk Hands Around the World 2017

This is my first time participating in the annual steampunk blogathon. "Making Life Better" is the theme for 2017. I think we can take influences from the past to build a better future. We can also learn from mistakes that were made in the past. These elements work in steampunk fiction too. You can read my full post here.…See More

Introduction
Hi, guys. I'm a huge steampunk enthusiast who also enjoys other types of science fiction. Other favorite subgenres include post-apocalyptic, superheroes, dystopia, dieselpunk, biopunk, and more. Science fiction movies, novels, video games, and television series definitely interest me. I'm also a steampunk author who released my first novel in The Post-Apocalyptic Society series. This seems like a great place to meet other steampunk and science fiction fans. Thanks a lot and I'm looking forward to a positive experience.

Interview: Mel Licata

I interviewed Mel Licata from season 10 of Face Off. She's a very talented FX makeup artist. It's not a steampunk interview, but still within the realm of science fiction and fantasy. She created some really cool creatures and characters on Face Off. Happy reading!
