I have a question for the ladies out there in regards to corseting. A year ago, I managed to get a hold of a steel-boned corset, but becuase of the size of my chest, it makes things look *cough*…Continue

"Another American-Dane! My mother's side the Jorgensons came here 3 generations ago, fought in WWII and settled in California. I visited Copenhagen in college. Beautiful to see my roots and went to a Viking museum."

"Ultimately it's up to you. Some of my friends who, while loving the fun of making costumes, enjoy getting the details right. This is then the subject of much cooing and ogling when presented to other costume nerds of my association. No you…"

"My dear Bats, I quite agree that the jeans and T underfashion is pretty lazy in general.  The joke is that the J & T underfashion, for all it’s outsider implications and individualist posturing, is actually pretty conformist and…"

"I don't entirely agree with your statement about men's fashion. While it was, like today, more static then ladie's fashion, and less extravagant for sure, I still think it was much less drab than today's jeans-and-T-shirt or…"

"I'm a purest personally. I entirely prefer things to be as authentic as possible. But really in the end it gets to be more about is it made well or is it a costume piece of trash. I think there is great room for authentic revival and I think…"

"For the ladies at least, pretty is authentic with Victorian and Edwardian fashion.  Men were stuck with pretty much static fashion and somber clothing.  But frankly that doesn’t matter so much in steampunk.  Try to portray the…"

Profile Information

I'm a Kaptajn in the Ærø Luftværnsregiment (Ærø Air-defense) in the Uafhængige Nordlige Hær (Independent Northern Army).
We are a for-profit, unaffiliated army based in Denmark, comprised mostly of the sons and scant daughters of Denmark who have been dispossessed by the Prussian invasion.

In real life, my name is Jessica. I'm a college student studying anthropology, and I've been madly in love with history and re-enactment since the age of seven.
Not to be a drama llama, but I am taken and have been with the same wonderful man since 2010. Neither of us are particularly interested in an open relationship. Been there, done that, and neither of us liked it much.

I've been into Steampunk for over a decade. I started playing d20 Steampunk at the age of 13, and have been running full-tilt into the fandom ever since.

I'm Danish-American, which is a massive source of pride for me and where I drew my idea to be a Steampunk Dane. Not a lot of Danish-Americans retain their identity, or take the time to understand the culture they came from.

I can be very shy, which makes me come across as snotty/antisocial, but once I warm up to you I'm really quite sweet. I'm a magnet for crazy people, but not all in a good way. I have some utter horror stories from my time in SCA, Steampunk, and the Anime convention scene.
