Ms. Christina commented on Tracey Ernst's blog post Pimping the Parasol - How I turned a blah old umbrella into a cool steampunk parasol
"This is an absolutely amazing tutorial - with a stunning finished project.  I imagine that wrestling a parasol into a sewing machine is something akin to bathing a herd of cats.  Bravo!"

Profile Information

Introduction
Mundanely known as Tracey, and variously known in the steamier worlds under the aliases of Miss Wintermute-Swift, Kit Cogswell, or Kate Swyfte, Winch Wench.

I'm a costumer and avid reader who is into Steampunk out here on the Canadian West Coast. Very into sewing, costuming, and small-scale minor crafting for myself - mostly because I don't have the skills to do the big stuff! (Ah, for metalworking knowledge and skills!)

I can also be found at my blog, at www.steamwenchsalon.blogspot.com

Creating a Steampunk Coat - from Priest Cassock Pattern to Coat

My latest how-I-did-it post in the Steam Wench's Salon - the adventure of making a steampunk labcoat from a priest's cassock pattern (with virtually no pattern experience) and ending up with a duck cotton and leather steampunk worker's coat.  The blog link is below.
