PUGG is now ready for Dragoncon. I added the gravity clip and the brass grip guard. I will have it on display at the 2nd Dragoncon Steampunk Exhibition which will be much bigger than 2010 where…Continue
I have been watching the Syfy online mini-series Riese: Kingdom Falling. The costumes, props, and even the music are pure steampunk and are worth seeing. There will be ten 10 minute episodes, of…Continue
"Mister Rumbles, you and Lady Teresa should strongly consider attending the Upstate Steampunk Extravaganza in Anderson, SC the weekend of 15-NOV. It is a wonderfully steamy gathering of like minded souls."

"This is my latest build, the Flintlock Raygun. Doctor Kauffmann of the prestigious University of Berlin, created a heat ray in his laboratory. He knew nothing of weapons, so he turned to an old flintlock pistol left to him by his…"
"Back in November of 2010, I tried unsuccessfully to get some NC steampunks to join me at the NC Transportation Museum. I packed my camera, tripod, and a suitcase of various weapon props and drove down from Greensboro. I had a good time all by myself…"

My autograds or 'self-steppers' (hence the name) are small machines that march across a table top using its own momentum, somewhat like kinetic desk sculptures. I'm still refining the design and process but i hope to have the little beasties up for sale sometime in the future.
I briefly talked to Starlight Mead during the NC Pagan Pride Festival and I've been desperate to try it- i just haven't had a chance to get out there and they weren't allowed to bring alcohol on the premises. A friend of mine is planning on ordering from them so I'll let you know if I get a chance to try it. If you're in the Raleigh area, i know one of the wine stores in Knightdale carries a selection of mead and honeywines.
