Show your fellow members here on the Steampunk Empire your Nerf Maverick, and what you have done to make it your own special piece. Here is my "Nightmare', made for me by my friend at Johnson Arms.

G.A. Jack Hammerquist said… The photos of the ladies you have post are all quite fetching... mind fetching me next time you are taking photos? If that is a bother I would gladly settle for phone numbers. :)
Lauren Lamenza Naylor said… Hello! I was at the Steam Punk Festival in Waltham last week. It was my first event, and now I'm hooked. :) Finding events around here after that one seems to be a bit difficult, but I'll persist. :)
Lauren Lamenza Naylor said… Oh dear, that's is very sad. Thank you for the info, Mr. Smith!
Vice Admiral Ashbel Stanley said… Yep, pretty much, though I am starting to get into making my own props. I built the hat myself, it was originally a bowler that I cut the top off of and polyurethaned to give it some strength. Then just added a little black latex paint, found items, and lots of hot glue, and it ended up awesome looking! It does help that my girlfriend(Redfield) is a seamstress, so I can give her my ideas for clothing and she makes it come to life!
Vice Admiral Ashbel Stanley said… Thank you so much! I can't say I had much hand in making the coat itself, that honor goes to Knight Redfield, of Redfield Designs. I did make the hat and sword though!
Lady Kendra Dawn Ryves said… Alas, my dear good sir, I was called into work unexpectedly this past weekend :(. We do have plans for AnimeBoston, but what are the dates for Waltham?
Prof. Sebastian Fate said… Guess I don't miss the rule lawyers and the occasional standover merchant but interaction prevented one becoming stale and solo leaves you with bad habits - outflanked , who worries about flanks ? .
My main opponent moved away years ago leaving a considerable gap . When I began ( c1968 ) our group included a WW2 vet who had worked on his board game during combat intervals and a real mixture of types and interests . Few remained with the hobby after the rituals of life ( marriage etc ) took toll .There was always the problem that our clubs eventually became child minding centers .
I sometimes watch ' Superbowl ' but it is a bit of a minority interest here - apart from the fuss over ' costume malfunction ' a few years ago . Hope you and your friends enjoy the game .
Prof. Sebastian Fate said… Thanks for the picture - looks like your club can operate on a very large scale .
Shifting to the country ( family illness ) has reduced me to a 6 foot by 4 foot table and playing solo . The nearest club is 3 hours away - and decline to answer emails anyway - so I've given up on them . Shortages of the basics ( paint , brushes etc ) are something one learns to live with .
