Glad to hear you spin. I have long wanted to build a treadle powered wheel with the spinning orifice looking much like a lily...the exit hole would be a hole chewed by a caterpillar, which would be to the forward end of the flower, allowing the spun thread to flow backward to the bobbin.

I purchased a good book called "The Care and Feeding of Spinning Wheels" but it has been some time since I read it. I enjoyed it greatly.
