- Greetings ladies and gentlemen.
My name is Lukas Thieden, Navigational officer, in the Danish Trading Company, currently serving my time on the paddle steamer Margrethe II. As a sailor in the merchant fleet I’ve seen most of the world, from the seaside and would't trade it for anything.
But I wasn't always in the merchant fleet. As a cadet I served in The Royal Danish Navy, on board HMDS Dannebrog. But I’m no soldier so I left the navy for a more relaxed life on a merchant vessel.
Please bear in mind, English is not first language so I might make an error or two.
