I am going for Steampunk Cthulhu, an adventuress who captures the lesser creatures of the mythos. My husband Jayger is my trusting brawn. I have accessories, an underbust corset but no other clothing. I welcome your suggestions.

My 9 year old son has learning delays because of cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He has begun to read, but he is often a reluctant reader. Yesterday, I returned home from work to find him sitting on his sister's lap in front of the computer, happily watching Buster Keaton movies on YouTube. Each time words would appear on the screen, my daughter would pause the video and he would read all the words. He loved this reading lesson!
His favorite video was The House to be…

Steamcon report
On October 23rd 2009 I arrived at the Seattle airport, I found my way to retrieve my bag, luckily this time no one gave me any problems with my gauntlet. Then I stood at the shuttle pick up patiently waiting for my transport to the long awaited Steamcon event. I knew that I was probably going to be early for my room but the event had supposedly already begun. I did not mind, I would have…

That is correct Ladies and Gentleman! This lovely crew of sky hooligans will be docking at the city of Baltimore. January 30th. Our objective is simple.....raid the Metro Gallery. There will be rum and whiskey for all (so the show is, unfortunately, 21 and over).
Doors will open at 8pm and the show will start at 9pm. The price? a mere eight dollars, that's right folks less than the price of a meal at your local dining establishment.
Be there as The Clockwork Dolls…

I am currently working on a character based on the German toy manufacturer Baron Christoph VonClaus. “Chris” Von Claus is a rather stout human male, born in Brandenburg, Germany in the year 1825. His family was well off, but in the 1840s Christoph built an industrialized factory for the manufacturing of his amazing toys. He became independently wealthy with his blockbuster toy 'The wheel and the stick.'
On one of his numerous trips to…

As I am awaiting moving to a larger home with a garage, as my mate I think has begun to grow weary of walking around 2 makeshift work stations, one for metal and glass work, and one for fabrics, stains and clays, along with 1 mini chopper in parts and another scooter in pieces awaiting for parts. This maze consuming my kitchen nook and dining room area. I have promised to keep my works to small scale until a garage or den can be allotted to my projects.
My current project that I have…

The Synthetic Dream Foundation's newest album "Mechanical Serpent" is currently finished and being manufactured as you read this. The album is a stylistic continuation of the sound created during the last two albums, with a deft fusion of industrial, IDM, electronica, and orchestral music. The album features guest vocals by Marcela Bovio (Stream of Passion and The Gathering), Summer Bowman (the machine in the garden), Susan Siren, and Tamara Kent. The album is being released by Mythical…

For you lovely people in the Atlanta area, consider this your save-the-date for
Steampunk in the Park, March 27, 2010. The first annual event of its kind, Steampunk in the Park is a steampunk picnic to be held in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. The event will begin at 2:00 PM and we'll be meeting at the bandstand, near the lake, dressed to the nines in our steampunk finery. This is a potluck picnic, so attendees are requested to bring one or two food or drink items to share. There will be at…

The journey continues into the pursuit of building my own airship. The considerations are many as I am finding.
My vision of my airship is filled with dark wood, thick and plush tapestries that cover the furnishings. I am of a mind that there should be a galley as it is fitting to have a place to dine during my travels.
When I see pictures of airships my heart skips a beat and I am prone to get lost in them. Such are the dreams that often find their way into the mundane…
