What I didn't expect to find is a treasure at the local Save Mart Supermarket in Emeryville/Oakland ,… Continue

Over a year ago, Bethalynne and I came to this state with an emergency to take care of: The "curator" or acting denizen of Bethalynne's former apartment had moved back in with his mother, several states away, leaving an "unoccupied" place filled knee-high with cat feces and urine, mixed with pizza boxes, pop bottles, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, old clothes... and over 20-some cats... some living, some not.
Underneath were things like old furniture, now hundreds of pounds heavier… Continue

I Just finished installing a fresnel lens boiler and generation system as a back up and to save fuel. I have also installed a second accumulator for the Tesla gun, so that one will be charging while the gun is firing. I hope to eliminate the heart pounding delays before it can be fired again. I still know little about Elizabeth , but she refused to relinquish the job of cook. She has left for a few weeks on an unnamed errand. Continue

The shed at Wolverhampton is a busy place these last few days. I received a roll of the strange cloth, as per our agreement, from the textile consortium. I fear it may be the only sample in existence; their laboratory was destroyed in an explosion and fire the day after my cloth was shipped. The Dragon will be getting a new epidermis which should be a little more bullet resistant. Continue

I admit, I kick the old adage in the face when it comes to book covers: I don’t hesitate to judge and judge fiercely. That’s being said, if a book cover intrigues me, I will pounce on it like a kitten goes to capnip. When the book-world blogosphere was reeling over the whitewashing Liar controversy
, which was then followed by the… Continue

Your objective is simple: soul accumulation.
Your motive is a little bit more complex: sadistic pleasure
To begin your plan, you must first expose a wealthy heiress. This will cause the world to bite their nails, bewildered by your arrival. Who is this Criminal Mastermind? Where did they come from? And why do they look so good in Classic Black?
Next, you must poison the Moon (ooh, tides!). This will all be done from a floating… Continue
