The Crossroads of the Aether
It's probably the most difficult but most fun process of the entire Mrs. E production for me. Whilst I am no George Lucas, composoting the actors to virtual worlds is fun process, especially if they have a presence about them as Rachel Bush does. For those of you wondering what I have been using, it…Continue

I know it;s been awhile folks, but here is a little update. The first Minisode counting down to "First Night" finally up. It's been a busy month for us here at the Mrs. E team, with 2 films due for December release. The I am also pleased to announce that my new daughter, SpirtRayne was born on the 25th October, hence the delay. So a new life breathes new life into Mrs. E. First…Continue
Starting in November of 2007 and continuing until July of 2010, I was involved in a Deadlands role playing game. It was this game that prompted me to extend my steampunk experience beyond merely reading the literature and begin dressing the part.
Additionally, I decided that I would chronicle the game as a writing exercise. I didn’t want to write in the third person so that I could practice writing in the…Continue

Good day to all you lovely steampunk people! I'd like to introduce myself to you all.
Born in Nebraska and still living there despite numerous forays elsewhere, I have a house, an adorable Basset Hound named Erasmus, a black belt in Shinkendo (Japanese sword-fighting), and seven years' experience teaching college-level composition. I've worked as a TV talent on an English-teaching program, laid concrete, hiked on the Appalachian Trail, and recorded a music album with my…Continue
Well it's been a heck of a busy weekend and today shows no means of slowing down. We've started our meme campaign for the series with the many faces of Mrs. E campaign. Each poster shows an interpretation of the enigmatic lady, who has become somewhat of a universal image for those women already committed to the…Continue

It's never easy finding the perfect location for what you hope to be iconic. Our Costume director, Casey July may well have found it, if these images are anything to go by, the Tea Room at the center of reality will certainly be colorful and memorable, and come on guys if we get this place, you have to…Continue

Well a lot of people got pretty excited about Episode 2, especially the monster. It's quite inspiring to know that a teaser poster can inspire fear so much. People have been asking to know more about the monster in that episode before it's even released so as a special treat I am writing a short story that…Continue

Old things, old places, old memories are the themes of the Mrs. E prelude, and I was so fortunate to have found a location (hopefully) to film on. Owner allowing (who is the father of a very old a dear friend and my girlfriend), as long as we fix this place up we might be able to start filming here on the…Continue

So I guess excitement doesn't begin to describe what's gripping me this week. I know there is a lot of work ahead before the final product is complete, but over the next week or so we've decided to do a 10 minute prelude to Mrs. E to whet everybody's appetite. Finding the Steampunk Empire was quite the…Continue

It's been a beastly long time since I've last updated my journal entries, and I have so much to tell! We had hit a storm like no other, and were thrashed about and thrown to the mercy of the ocean below. I'm not sure if the rest f the crew or even the captain had survived, but I had survived somehow. I drifted to shore clinging to what remained of the ship, where I took refuse in an old cave. To say the lease I was bedraggled and exhausted, not to mention dismayed to find all my gadgets and…Continue

Night Raid, Part 2
The Captain glances at his watch and holds it calmly as he watches the last minute tick by. He turns to the voice pipe that runs back to the launch bay,
“Boarding party launch.” He hears the disconnected voice of his Master of the Sword come back through the tube,
“Aye aye Captain. See you on the prize ship.”
Back in the launch bay, each of the boarding party members are already strapped into bat-shaped glider wings of bamboo struts…Continue
The hideous spider-like creature advanced menacingly towards us. "Kill them! Kill them!" shouted Professor Clasius then continued reciting the incantation that had materialized the evil thing into our presence from some other, darker dimension.
"Can you not stop her Johannes?" shouted Winslow frantically.
I had but one avenue of hope left to us, but first I must silence the Professor and break her hold on the creature she now controlled. I focused my attention…Continue

The following is an excerpt from my Steampunk novel, "The Clockwork Hart" (no, that is not a misspelling).
Alan O’Cleary stopped for breath, brushing his long reddish-brown hair out of his face with one delicate hand.
I should have remembered my hat, he thought, as he did every day, as he looked down the hill…Continue
