I will try to get some files for people to make better old photo's.

I did put a picture of myself up as a shogun, it came out OK. The trick is not the scratches, it;s the tint and blur. Those are the devils details!

The Japanese Bakumatsu Koshashin Generator at http://labs.wanokoto.jp/olds will take any of your photographs and add an overlay that makes it look older, much like the "old photo" decor in Gimp or, I'm sure, something comporable in Photoshop. The only problem is it is onl;y one overlay so, in the end, photos have the same fading and scratches.

I'd like to take an old photo, such as this one from shorpy.com, strip the content out of it, and leave only the fading, scratches and flaws to use as an overlay to oldify other pictures. Too bad I have no talent for such things.

I also just put up a post today about a type house I use that makes old lead type faces. Magnificent work. Truly capital indeed! There font "Signmaker" is what TeslaCon's logo was created from.

Please enjoy!
