I recommend reading the Hobbit first, followed by the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, followed by The Silmarillion.

I must admit that I'm familiar with [Even though I haven't read any Of his [Tolkien's]books yet...] the first title and Rings trilogy, but I'm not familiar with the title Silmarillion. [Therefore, I will seek the latter book [title] out to  read...too!]
