It seems like such a long time since last we communicated that I felt it warranted actual correspondence. I hope you are well, that real life is not causing undue inconvenience to your good self.
Life at the Cog is not as manic as it once was, though the clientele are as charming as they have ever been. I have the apparent skill of avoiding your establishment when the patron and guests are present.
I seem to be spending more time behind a desk filling in paperwork these days, how I long for the chance to vanish over the horizon, on the trail of some rare orchid or a rarely seen example of the Jade vine. C'est la vie.
Well, I hope we have the chance to catch up at the cog sometime in the near future. Time can be an uncontrollable Juggernaut ready to tear us from our pleasure if we are not careful.
My good man, I erroneously assumed we had already been introduced. Do have my most sincere apologies. It is with heartfelt pleasure that I accept your request. Just remember, you have jus under three hours to find him.
What a delight to meet you, Mr. Cowardly Lion! I feel even though there are a multitude of personalities and personas accepted in a wonderful place like the Empire, it might still be difficult for we fictional characters to be taken seriously, even though we often have such a high place of esteem in the hearts and imaginations of our friends!
I see my dear Mr. Murray *blushes at the touch of lips on top of hand and curtsies*. I do fully understand how it is with Æthernet issues. Half the time my quartz is on the fritz as well, allowing minimal time travel experiences. But mainly, I would have to say that travelling in the flesh around the Æther itself preoccupies me these days. How about you?
A most delightful specimen, thank you for this most thoughtfull gift. And sir, you have humbled me with your regards. I shall continue to visit the cog for as long as the sun caresses the earth. That is a long time, if you are wondering.
I should point out that my laughter was at your joke, not at the fact that you teach young primary school students. I think early primary school teachers, and early childhood development educators, play an incredibly important role in learning. :-)
Haha! I have a great respect for early primary school teachers. A friend of mine has just started teaching prep, which I'm guessing is the same as foundation (4 and 5 year olds). If it's any consolation, things don't change much by the time students get to first year university. "This is a qualitative research method. It describes such methods as interviews, focus groups and visual diaries. What is it then?" ... "Ummm... an apple?"
