Well, it sounds like you're keeping busy! I also wish I lived in the forest sometimes -- specifically after a weekend in it where I managed to both be relaxed and incredibly productive. I hope you continue keeping well, and keep me updated!
Ah, hello again Mr. LohKamp. I am doing much better than when we last spoke. In fact, I have just returned this evening from a long weekend dance retreat in Algonquin park. It was a much needed vacation, and a great deal of fun. How have you been doing?
Well I hope it was nothing too troubling! I've been on my summer for a few months now, so I haven't been up to very much at all- this is, until these past few weeks. Yesterday I was swimming at the Bruce Peninsula, in Georgian Bay. Two weeks ago I was playing with a hyena and various other animals. Then the week before that I was on a tour of the Toronto shoreline via yacht- something my mum won, so we were able to pretend that we were rich for the day.
I'm partly excited to return to school, but I remember how good the other artists in my class are and it makes me not miss it so much.
Sadly, very little good news to be had from me right now. Dealing with a legal nightmare I've landed in due to having a terrible landlord. I hope your past few months have been treating you well, though!
I've switched schools since I last spoke to you, I believe? I was going to OCAD before, and now I'm at Sheridan, in the program I wanted from the beginning. I'm also taking biology on the side, which I only started the other day. So I've been busy, to say the least.
Ah yes...a worthy endeavor it was (although the heat almost was too much for this dweller in misty vales) but I am now back and beginning my internship at a local shop!! As to your suggestion of a get together...that sounds like a capital idea! I visited another group (nice folks)but was not too impressed with the turnout for their meeting (perhaps it was just a bad week) I think Portland steampunks need to become more active !!!!
Why yes I am (a local that is). I've been in Portland most of my life, with a brief stint down in Arizona to go to school (M.M.I. motorcycle mechanics institute or was that Maniacal Miscreant Instructional?)
I finished my first year of post-secondary in April, myself. Now it's work to make up money for next year's tuition, so I've been missing out on a lot of steampunk events as well.
I don't use instant messengers of any sort, really, but I'm on Facebook and Google+ under this name.
Contacting me here is just as effective as any other method, really. I mean, I check my email more frequently, but because I get email alerts from my page and inbox on SE, you'll get a response just as quickly either way.
I rarely visit this site anymore- I've just been busy. But, fortunately, I do have email notifications set, so I still get to see when I have comments.
Huzzah ! more Aether Friends (Say are those like "Super Friends" ? Wonder twins powers activate !!) Thank you for your electronic "friending" perhaps some day we will meet in the corporeal sense.I noticed you are known as the "Inventor" I am also afflicted with the inventive impulse (and tend to collect bits of stuff) say is that a mill I see you working on in your pictures?? (rubs hands together while evilly cackling)
I do indeed still check SE, though not regularly. Generally only when I've got a new comment or message from a friend.
In fact, you caught me at a good time. I have just returned from a journey to the heart of the empire itself, and the surrounding regions! What have you been up to since we last spoke?
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles and woes. I know the feeling, believe me. At the present I am juggling my exams (I have more than 5 left) that are coming up and an empty social life. I just moved to the area nad haven't made many friends. I'm very lonely as a result. What are you going to school for?
Thank you very kindly, dear sir! My email address is vonsyn@hotmail.com . Unfortunately I thought I was more techsavvy than I really was. Haha, se la vie! How have you been recently?
I'm glad to hear that we might meet at steamcon. I couldn't figure out the yahoo group and couldn't find them on facebook. I'll have to try again, and would love to meet everyone in the potland city steampunks.
I was browsing about and found that you are going to steamcon this year, am I correct? I, too, will be in attendance and was wondering if you would like to take part in my get together in Portland at the end of this month. Details are still to come but we will be discussing steampunk gatherings in the area as well as a group expidition to Steamcon. A few of my dear friends and I will be making devices of all sorts, and it is always nice to have more people in our group. Please reply post-haste!
BTW ... any plans for the upcoming OryCon this coming weekend here in Portland? It appears that I will be in attendance there. Any means, Good travels, dear fellow.
Greetings dear fellow! Sorry to hear about things being so busy in your neck of the aethersphere! Same here. Just a note to you that I won't be making the train trip to Seattle for SteamCon 2. Finances seem to have been tighter than expected. I do wish to send along my best wishes to you and others. Hope you have a grand time. Do take photos so that I might enjoy the sights vicariously!
Sorry it's been so long!
I've been caught up with school and other such things, which have left me less time for all of my usual hobbies.
How have you been?

Hey there, Patrick! It's sure been a while.

How is everything with you?

When is the SteamCon? Has it passed yet, or is it still coming up?
