Ah, the Droitwich ringtails! I'm afraid you misunderstood their intentions: the stones are a traditional ringtail gift of welcome and they would only have resorted to the catapult when you spurned their offer of the smaller stones!

Lovely music but reminds me of the time I got into a fight with ringtails, they surrounded the camp at night threw stones at us, in the end brought up a sort of catapault. I had to send a party of sikhs to drive them off, nasty things and not what you expect when repairing a sewer in Driotwich.
