The Vampire Nation

There are many enthusiast groups for Vampires many of whom are also keen steampunks.  I thought a group here to direct people would be in order.

Literary icon Anne Rice returns to blockbuster book series. PRINCE LESTAT: THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES to be published October 2014.

During an exclusive interview on Sunday 9th March, on The Dinner Party Show with Christopher Rice and Eric Shaw Quinn, literary icon Anne Rice revealed that her next novel will feature the return of one of the most popular vampires of all time: Lestat de Lioncourt.

PRINCE LESTAT: THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES will be published by Chatto & Windus in October and simultaneously in the US by Alfred A. Knopf, an imprint of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group.

The announcement was teased for more than a week on Twitter and Facebook with #AnneRiceReveal. The new novel is being promoted with #PrinceLestat.

Rice described the new novel as ‘a sequel to the first five Vampire Chronicles’ books and ‘a true sequel to Queen of the Damned. I finished it last summer and I’ve been having a terrible time not talking about it !’

According To Vampire.com

"Archaeologists in Turkey think they have found THE dungeons that once imprisoned Dracula

The Tokat Castle has been going through restoration since 2009, and recently, within the last ten weeks the archaeologists have come across what they believe are the dungeons which had held the Wallachian Prince Vlad, the Impaler, aka. Dracula.  The castle is said to have many secret tunnels and dungeons yet to be uncovered, but they believe he was held in one of the recently discovered dungeon areas of Castle Tokat.  Would you travel to check out the castle which imprisoned one of the most infamous characters in history and fiction ? Here goes an article [and his opinion about the article too !]  that the great-great grand-nephew Of Bram Stoker...Dacre Stoker shared...

According to Dacre Stoker
" Because so many creative writers, screenwriters and directors come up with different takes on these most interesting and horrific creatures. The concept of Vampires came about as a result of what people from many different cultures thought were real "issues" hundreds of years ago, they are deep in our psyche. Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, there is plenty of room at the table ! "
