After a year of being gone I find myself here, again. Nasty divorce, move, new job, etc, made it a very stressful year. The ex-wife ran off with her (as I know now) long term boyfriend and got married. She took the kids as well. Left me her dog and the bills. Oh well. Looking back over the last 22 years I realize that I am glad she is gone. I do miss the kids but they come and visit so it isn't all gloom and doom.
I did find someone though. Amazingly she is into Steampunk!…

Crappy cell phone picture. Since that weekend I have my new bowler hat, and my sack coat is complete. The frock coat pattern is here, and I will start work on it after this weekend. Once the basics are completed I will then begin work on future/past tech. Still not too sure what I will be building but a few thoughts come to mind-
A hand held radio. This would be very useful for a policeman to have.

Working on the Nichols case of 31 August 1888. Suprising that there is so little information available.
I am filling out the Autopsy diagrams, trying to fill them in after all this time. I am kind of suprised no one has done so yet- well, maybe not. Given the graphic nature of the wounds I can sort of understand the unwillingness to do so. However, I am continuing on.

The whole concept is starting to come together. I've chosen a time and location, 1890s London. A Profession of Police Inspector, and a name, William George Downing.
W G Downing is a Inspector in the Metro Police in H Division, Whitechapel. He is 40 years old. This puts him in his late 30s during the Ripper Murders. He is married with three children. There are four Police Stations in H Division. I'll have to figure out which is his.
