"Thank you for the welcome. And a special thank you for the group invite. Being a part of a gathering like this is exactly what I've been looking for. It's hard sometimes finding a place where one can join other writers and discuss while…"

Hello. I am a woman of twenty-eight years with a passion for the Victorian/Edwardian era, world history, steam driven locomotives and fantastic underwater submersibles with lavish parlors and organs. My favorite authors are Jules Verne and Scott Westerfeld. Like everyone here I am a huge fan of steampunk. I've always been, but never knew that my interest in victorian gadgetry, fashion, and storytelling had a name. It wasn't until listening to the band Abney Park did I realize I was a Steampunk enthusiast. So here I am. An inspiring scifi/fantasy novelist who would love to meet other steam-driven, goggle-wearing gentlemen, ladies and perhaps even a sky pirate or two. ;)

Welcome, Lady Natasha. A novelist, is it? Scribblers are a distinct minority here, though we are well-treated for all of that. I always invite writers to visit http://thesteampunkempire.com/group/scribblers-den to see if we might have anything to offer. Whatever else we are, we are the most active group in the Empire. Drop by, see what you think, and join if you like. Whatever you decide about that, have a great stay here. Every interest in the genre is represented here, so it should be easy to have a great time!
