Of Things

Less than a week to go and I get this bloody cold. Now, for those of you that would like to know; best way to get rid of a cold is with a broth made of vegimite or marmite. Good tea during the day, a bit of scotch at night and  you are set. I blame all my Aussie and Kiwi friends, (and my wife who spent time in Australia studying nursing) . As for that part of the world, thoughts and prayers go out the NZ earthquake casualties and survivors.

The Lost Town of Africville



The memorial to the town of Africville. It reads "Landed Deeded 1848-1969. Dedicated in loving memory of the first black settlers and all the former residents of the community of Campbell Road, Africville and all the members of the Seaview United Baptist Church.
