I've been second guessing my whole SP outfit because it was a mixture of the 1920s and Victorian age until I read this:
Rules #4-6 are what set my mind at ease and now I must say I've stop second guessing myself. I came into this knowing that I would not go strictly Victorian Era but got caught up with all the pictures, ideas, etc.…Continue
Finishing touches just went on the googles today, found the original lenses that went with them so breaking the purple ones is not a big deal now. Silver has been added to make them pop off the hat, which I have decided to keep even though it's not a true VICTORIAN style hat but hey Lady Rayna Reynolds is not from our world. She lives in a world inpired by the Victorian age on earth and many other cultures, times and civilizations. I've been given a lot of advice about…Continue

The sun began to peak its head above the horizon. The light winding its way in to every nook and cranny it could find, including the yet completed roof of the lab just on the outskirts of London. Inside sat a sleeping scientist, leaning back on two legs of a chair that had been waging a constant battle with gravity since just after he’d fallen asleep. With sketches on the table, a tool in his hand, and an access panel open on the propulsion pod of the majestic air ship close behind him, it…Continue

Smoke Stack Thunder
I see the sparks fly
in the middle of the night
the smell of hot steel
coal smoke and iron wheels
clouds of steam fill the air
hissing valves of brass
all the children stare
as the iron horses pass
smoke stack thunder
barking engines pass by
smoke stake thunder
black suet fills the sky
up and down the grades
with a barking parade
It was all in an honest days work, or so I kept telling myself. I mean, women were not usually allowed on ships of any kind so I had to do something.
How was I going to get to that cargo if I could not even get on the ship?
Then it hit me that there are two socially acceptable professions for a single woman in the Victorian Era. A prostitute and a seamstresses. So I went with the easiest money I could make...a seamstresses.
I would go to the First Mate, I would ask to be…Continue

I'm going to do something a bit different, step out of character, and relate some peculiar information from the standpoint of a 21st century human. Make of this what you will.
First off, my character is based on me to such an extent that he might as well BE me in the circumstances I have put him in.
I began thinking up the ideas for my stories just after Thanksgiving, last year. The first thing to appear in my mind was the name "Adele…Continue

In anticipation of going to the Old West Festival near Cincinnati, I worked on a leather shoulder holster for my Saboteur 66 from Dr. Grordbort's. I finished it on Thursday and while I recognize the bad stitching and the dye that is much darker than I wanted or expected, it is a passable piece of work revealed as mediocre only on closer…Continue

Once Again, we visited the Asylum Festival at Lincoln & Once Again got enthused about steampunkery. But this time we are going to do something about it so I've been busy restyling an outfit I used for portraying victorian teacher in museums. Added a few essential accessories & I'm almost ready to appear. Still working on the husband's outfit. He's looking forward to the Space Centre Steampunk do later in the year.
